Connecting With Nature And Each Other
Building community is the motivator and at the heart of the workshops and groups that I run. Whilst, in some ways, the modern world allows us to connect in more ways than we ever thought possible, I regularly hear clients talk about a feeling of disconnection and loneliness. For our ancestors, our ability to thrive and survive depended on community and, whilst this may no longer be so true for our physical safety, I still believe our emotional safety has roots in a sense of community. Gathering around a fire was also a way in which we passed down wisdom, both through generations of people as well as from the natural world, and a place to celebrate the events of the solar calendar (for example Solstice and Equinox).
With that in mind, below is information about my upcoming groups, workshops and events. I also put together workshops for corporate and team connection days, and can organise private outdoor group experiences. Please get in touch to find out more.
Come and join us for the Wild-hearted Women Group.
We will start with a mindful walk, spend some solo time connecting with nature and then gather together around the fire to talk, empower and support each other with whatever is present for us.
This monthly group takes place outside in a beautiful woodland in East Grinstead.
To make it inclusive, payment is by donation – but you still need to book a space as there are limited numbers.
Our group is finished for the year but due to start again in March 2026 – do get in touch to be kept up to date.
Winter Solstice Celebration
Come and join us on the Eve of Winter Solstice as we welcome back the returning of the light. We will spend some time considering our relationship to the darkness – setting intentions as to what we want to take with us into the Winter, we will honor the Sun and returning of the light through candle ceremony and craft and we will end with a beautiful EcoNidra guided mediation that will deepen our connection with nature and resource us for the Winter ahead. As this celebration has it’s roots in nature, we will try to spend some time outside around the fire pit as part of the celebration, but if the weather is not on our side we will enjoy the cosy tranquility of Claridge House.
Winter is all about slowing down and listening to the voice within. The Winter Solstice is a time for pause, reflection and returning to your roots. If you are someone who gets caught up in the busy-ness of this time of year, then this is the perfect opportunity to tune into the rhythms of the natural world as a way to nourish and nurture yourself ahead of the festive period.
Date: Saturday 20th December
Time: 6.30-8.30pm
Location: Claridge House
Cost: £25
Imbolc Celebration and Nidra Evening
Come and join us for a celebration of Imbolc as we honor the mid-way point between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.
Imbolc comes at a time where we feel the urge to shrug off the cloak of Winter and move forward into the Spring. The reflections and inner wisdom we have gained in Winter, begin to take shape and germinate. As with the soil outside, although we can’t see it, there is a lot going on underneath the surface!
We will spend our time crafting traditional Brigid Crosses, reflecting on the wisdom this fire festival has to offer us, plant intentions for the year ahead and enjoy a guided nature-based EcoNidra meditation. As this celebration has it’s roots in nature, we will try to spend time outside around the fire pit as part of the celebration, but if the weather is not on our side we will enjoy the cosy tranquillity of Claridge House.
This time of year can be a struggle – the light can feel like it is too slowly returning and the weather can make getting outside more difficult – feeling as if Spring will never arrive. If this resonates with you this celebration is timely. You will leave feeling focussed, boosted and hopeful about where you are and what is to come.
Date: Friday 30th January
Time: 7.00pm -9.15pm
Location: Claridge House, Dormansland
Cost: £25
